rubber cover down and disassemble the throttle housing, remove the old throttle tube taking care not to damage the throttle cables.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIf necessary, carefully remove the grip from the old throttle tube.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eInspect the cables and housing for damage or excessive wear, clean and lubricate or replace as necessary.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eClean the handlebar and check for damage where the old throttle tube has rubbed on the bar, if there are burrs, replace the handlebar.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSlide the new throttle tube onto the handlebar and lubricate using a penetrating lubricant, preferably Maxima MPPL (do not use grease, as this attracts dirt and causes the throttle to stick after a short period of time).\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eReassemble the throttle cables and housing using a little penetrating lubricant.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTighten the throttle housing into the correct position on the handlebar.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAdjust the cable to your preferred length.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTurn the handlebar to its maximum position to check for correct throttle operation and correct cable routing; the cable may need to be readjusted.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSlide the rubber cover back over the housing.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eCover the hole in the end of the grip with insulating tape (to prevent glue from entering the throttle tube) and apply a small amount of RFX grip glue to the outer end of the throttle tube on the outer diameter.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eApply a small amount of RFX grip glue to the inside of the new grip and slide it onto the tube.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRotate the grip to the correct position and allow it to dry.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eApply RFX safety
