Advantages of Increasing Flywheel Weight in 2-Stroke Engines
Greater Rotation Stability: Increasing the flywheel weight provides greater inertia to the system, which helps smooth out fluctuations in engine rotation. As a result, power delivery becomes more linear and controlled, which is especially important in difficult terrain, such as Enduro and Hard Enduro.
Better Control at Low RPM: With more weight, the flywheel keeps the engine rotation more constant, which is crucial when the rider needs greater control over performance at low RPM. This helps prevent the engine from losing power or stalling at critical moments, even during smooth acceleration or when facing technical obstacles.
Better Performance in Technical Terrain: In Enduro and Hard Enduro, riders face many challenges, such as steep climbs and very uneven terrain. The heavier flywheel helps keep the engine more balanced, improving traction and engine response in these extreme conditions.
