Advice for carburettor tuning:
To start, we must keep the motorbike idling for 3 minutes to raise the engine temperature. Once the engine is warm, get on the bike and accelerate fully for a few seconds, then hold at maximum RPM for about 5 seconds without releasing the throttle. Turn off the motorbike and remove the spark plug; depending on the spark plug colour, we can determine how to proceed, for example:
- If the spark plug is milky coffee colour or lighter (such as white or grey), the mixture is lean, you need to increase the main jet by 5 or 10 points.
- And if the spark plug is only black or brown, the mixture is rich, so you should reduce the jet by 5 or 10 points.
- The ideal point for a spark plug is brick red (similar to the colour of clay).
